FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) / SCQF Level 5
Mental health can affect anyone, whether personally or through someone close. This course is ideal for all individuals but is particularly valuable for employers looking to support mental wellbeing in the workplace. It provides learners with a solid understanding of common mental health conditions and the confidence to offer support.
Upon successful completion, learners become First Aiders for Mental Health, able to act as a point of contact for those showing signs of a mental health issue. The course builds on the introductory Level 1/SCQF Level 4 Award and introduces the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, which enables learners to offer guidance, initiate supportive conversations, and signpost professional help.
The course also examines the impact of drugs and alcohol on mental health and helps learners support positive workplace wellbeing initiatives.
